What Britain needs-A Vision for the Future

In the modern day many countries find it difficult to stay relevant on the global stage and Britain's influence may be slowly waning. On the Surface there may be a number of things that Britain needs and first and foremost Britain needs a vision for the future. When we have a system where those in charge are shuffled out regularly little long term progress is made when every choice is made for the present and for re-election sustained and consistent growth is not achieved. If the NHS consumes more and more of the government's budget each year other problems will arise. Worse yet groundwork laid by one may be eroded by the next in the case of Obama. What Britain may need is oversight detached from the slow Parliamentary System to ensure long term Progression.
New ways to generate wealth are clearly needed to sustain Britain and develop it. A large scale renewable energy plan would work to generate jobs, wealth for the Nation and secure Britain's place on the European and world stage. It could be possible to increase the government's budget by around £75 billion a year and have at least £20 billion go into the NHS with billions left for Education,Defence,Debt,Local communities and Pensions. There would be a upfront const of around £280 billion but over 25 years generate £1.5 trillion for the country. The energy from this project could power all of Europe and Britain.
Given all of the potential benefits to the Nation the Proposal should be heavily considered;however, the parliamentary system as it is now may need reform to allow change of this magnitude. A regularly changing Government wouldn't be enough to see changes like this to the end and a Body Regulated by but above Parliament could oversee long term changes for the development of Britain and the the benefit of the people.
