A French Europe?

Emmanuel Macron is extremely pro Europe to put it mildly but he wants something much more that most of Europe may oppose. He recently made various comments about how Italy and other EU nations shouldn't just accept benefits from the EU but the downsides also. A long with his words stating that Europe can no longer depend on the US for military support it may be clear that he has a grandiose vision for Europe.

Macron may want to turn the EU into a real country similar to America with a shared military force to deter threats although in the current disdain for the EU may pose a large challenge.

If done right Europe could be a super power to rival the US or China and the idea may hold water if it can over come it's problems.
